"Ever since I could remember I wanted to be a hairdresser. My passion as a salon owner & hairdresser is creating a salon that is friendly & fun to visit & work in. I’m convinced that bringing out the best in people depends on a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. That’s what we try to create at enigma. 

Having trained locally after leaving school, I worked aboard on the ‘Steiner’ cruise liners, & managed several hair salons for ‘Alan Paul’ (now owned by Regis).

I’m still passionate about acquiring & maintaining excellent hairdressing & customer service skills, having attended numerous courses over the years, including Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, L’Oreal, Paul Mitchel & Charles Worthington.

I believe that regular education is paramount to maintaining a focused positive team."

Ruth & Joanna worked together at the start of their careers at the very well respected Brian Bates salon. They are kindred spirits & bring a wealth of knowledge & support to the younger members of the team.

Ruth has a very loyal client base, & booking an advanced appointment with her is a must to avoid disappointment! She has exceptional cutting, colouring & perming skills.

Ruth is a very approachable, friendly part of this family & she creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere in the salon.

Kelly is a bubbly, friendly stylist who has amazing precision cutting skills amongst others.

She too has a very loyal client following & brings a fun atmosphere to the salon.

Like the rest of the family at enigma, Kelly thrives from education on upcoming trends & her commitment to excellence ensures she’s always busy!

Debbie, like all of our amazing stylists, is a long standing part of the enigma family & brings a quiet confidence to the salon.

She is an expert at hair up for all occasions, & the amazing hair transforming ‘kerastraight’ treatment. Talented also in cutting & colouring, Debbie is a stylist very much in demand.

She brings a calming atmosphere to the salon & is a very popular part of the team.

Lucy has an amazing sense of humour, & brings laughter & fun to both the shop floor & staff room. 

She has a rapidly growing client base, & her popularity & sense of ease makes her especially popular with children.

Tori is one of our stylists who has been trained in our salon and is a very talented young stylist. Her long-hair blow dry’s and hair styling are second to none.

She has progressed rapidly and is building a strong clientele.

Izzy is our delightful trainee, she's friendly and helpful and very keen to learn the skills of the profession. We look forward to watching her progress
